I have developed a decent sized react project already for my website. All the documentation that I have found so far, assumes that I’m creating my react project with Frontity. Would it be possible to add Frontity framework to it by installing it as a package? Is there a document that I can follow for this?

Welcome to the Frontity community.
Frontity is a framework that uses React. In this respect it is similar to Gatsby or Next. As such I don’t think that you can retro-fit Frontity to an existing React project. Like Gatsby or Next, Frontity assumes that you are using it as your starting point.
That said, I’ll refer this to a member of our development team in case they have further insights on this.
